RAINIER - FADED WORKWEAR

New Balance reintroduces a unique archival favorite that was famously used by Lou Whitaker during his 1984 summit of Mt. Everest: the Rainier boot. The original Rainier was developed in 1982 as a lightweight alternative after the student guides at the Mount Rainier climbing school had taken to wearing running shoes instead of traditional, heavyweight hiking boots. This Tan / Teal edition pairs tan premium leather with heavyweight teal mesh underlays. Tonal tan laces thread through metal D-rings, while a woven NB tongue tag and debossed flying NB on the saddle handle the branding. An EVA foam midsole and a black Vibram® outsole offers durable, sure-footed traction to complete the design.

Style: URAINAA

Color: Faded Workwear / Dark Moonstone/  Black
